Strange Animal is a Los Angeles based commercial composition company founded by composer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist arranger and mix engineer Kailynn West.

After graduating from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Production and Engineering in 2010, Kailynn began composing in 2013, arranging guitar parts for the intro/outro music for Jon Bon Jovi's "Because We Can" world tour. Since then, she has composed for TV and ad campaigns for clients such as Purina Beyond and has had music featured on shows such as Rosewood, Dance Moms, and One Life to Live. She also mixed songs for Amazon Prime's series "Little Big Awesome" working under the direction of Eban Schletter (Sponge Bob Square Pants/Comedy Bang Bang) in 2018. She contributed vocals to the Little Big Awesome soundtrack, as well as a track on Bobcat Goldthwait’s Misfits & Monsters (2018) series on TruTV.

When she's not composing, Kailynn is touring with her power-pop band Tiny Stills and directing commercial voiceover in the greater Los Angeles Area.
